Against the System – The Spirit of a Fighter
By the age of 16, Si-Kung Norbert Máday already had his own students. In 1986, he opened an underground Wing Tsun Kung Fu school, as martial arts were still banned in Hungary, just like in other socialist countries at the time. This changed in 1989 when such practices became legal, and a year later, Si-Kung N. Máday became a direct student of Si-Jo Leung Ting.
The Road to Recognition
In 2001, Grandmaster Leung Ting offered Si-Kung Norbert Máday the opportunity to lead the American Wing Tsun Association, but he chose to stay in Hungary, where he continues to head the East European Wing Tsun Organization (EEWTO).
In Hungary, Si-Kung N. Máday has published three books of his own on Wing Tsun Kung Fu and translated ten of Si-Jo Leung Ting’s books—some of which have also been translated into Polish.
Today, Si-Kung Norbert Maday frequently travels across Europe, conducting high-level seminars for Wing Tsun Kung Fu enthusiasts. Martial arts practitioners eagerly attend his lectures, workshops, and courses tailored for various age groups, often sharing glowing reviews about both the master and the martial art of Wing Tsun.
